Introduction:Believe it or not.Animation is a part of your life.Everything you look around you is animated from low budget cartoons to high budget films, advertisements. One of the obvious advantage to moviemakers is the ability to perform such stunts and activities that would have been impossible in real life.It is quite easy really.By rapid-playing frames they create a deceptive illusion to our mental mind that precieves them to be the truth.Let me give you a quick overview on animation.
Types Of Animation:
The world of animation can be sliced up into two major categories:
2D Animation:You are fammiliar with this type.It is known as 2-Dimensional animation created using simple vector graphics software theese animations are seeable from only 2 possible directions. When seeing such objects we happen to feel like the image is stuck on the page.Another easy way to spot a 2D image is to do this simple exercise. For this exercise you must have a 3d image alongside with you.First look at the 3d object and notice how your eyes converge and diverge to see near and far detail respectively but when you look at the 2d image nothing happens your eyes neither converge or diverge which proves that the image is 2-D
3D animation:A bit more advanced form of animation that applies the uses of Autodesk 3ds Max and other related software. It takes a whole team of animators and modelling artists to do this
Animating without computers:Do you remember those 15 minute pappaya the sailor man,tom and jerry shows. You dont.Of course not. That was about a century ago.Ask your grand-parents the will tell you.Anyway those technology driven people did animate by the following ways
1.Flipbook.
2.Oil pastels and glass
3.Sand animation
4.Hydrotecnics
5.Draw-ON-Film
Though they were not those super-dooper graphics like you see in transformer they still were not bad for that era
